President Ali helps in cleaning-up East Berbice

PRESIDENT, Dr Irfaan Ali, on Sunday, joined the Regional Democratic Council and other stakeholders in East Berbice for a clean-up exercise.
The President also participated in a tree planting exercise at Fort Ordinance and later inspected ongoing clean-up activities in New Amsterdam, undertaken by the RDC, members of the Guyana Defence Force, and residents.
Dr Ali was accompanied by Minister of Agriculture, Zulfikar Mustapha; Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, Nigel Dharamlall; Minister within the Ministry of Public Works, Deodat Indar; Head of the Private Sector Commission, Paul Cheong and other officials.
The President has thrown his support behind ‘Operation Clean up’, an exercise being spearheaded by the Joint Services and the private sector. (Office of the President)
