THE Youth Movement of Guyana has expressed sincerest condolences on the passing of former Barbados Prime Minister Owen Arthur.
In a release, the group stated that they witnessed this remarkable statesman stand up at the first attempts to undermining local democracy. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.” The group also noted that he was an inspiration and has left an incredible legacy and expressed sincerest condolences to his family, friends, the people of Barbados, the Caribbean Community and the wider world.
The late Prime Minister Arthur had served as Barbados’s fifth Prime Minister for three consecutive terms, from 1994 to 2008.
