A 26-year-old man will be having “a good time” in police custody after he posted a video with himself on social media displaying a cache of firearms and made threats pf violence to a political party in Guyana.

Hours after the video went viral on Wednesday, the police intercepted that man, who is an employee of a private security firm. The police have also seized a number of firearms belonging to the private firm.

The man, who is known commonly as “Jermaine”, is currently in police custody as investigations into the incident are ongoing.

In the video the man is quoted as saying:”We gon have a grand time whole night tonight… leh the blow-blow blow”, the lyrics to a song which has been the theme song of many public events of the coalition- A Partnership for National Unity+ Alliance for Change  (APNU + AFC) during elections season 2020.

“They ain’t want come out! They gon come out now,”the man said in the video as he pointed at the firearms, threatening violence.
