THE country’s biggest Sound Clash, Armageddon, was officially launched on Sunday last in Mango Lane, East Ruimveldt, and judging from how things went down, ‘clash’ fans will be in for a treat come January 25, 2020 at the National Park.

**With $1 million up for grabs, the event this year will feature, for the first time, South Sudan’s Dynamq Sound, which won the 2018 ‘US Rumble’ and 2019 ‘War in the East’ sound clash, while making a second appearance will be the Pain & Sorrow 2019 Champion, ‘Kanabis Sound’ of Antigua.

Guyana’s Notorious International Sound, back-to-back Armageddon Champion, Trinity Sound (Destination Badda Dan Guyana Champion), Exodus Nuclear (Turbo Sounds of Steel Champion) and Firehouse International (Art of War 2019 Champion), will look to defend home turf.

Coordinator for Armageddon Clash 2020, Keston Tyrell of Empire Media Inc., stated that Empire Media Inc. was excited to host the biggest Clash in the world, adding that the large attendance at its ‘Clashes’ was testimony to the transformation that has taken place in the industry.

Armageddon 2020 is being dubbed the ‘War of all Wars’ because of the calibre of sounds that will be participating, as Tyrell explained that the ‘Clash’ will feature six champion Sounds in one night on one stage competing for $1M.

According to Tyrell, Empire Media Inc. is pleased to have onboard again this year the Guyana Beverages Inc. and their Turbo Brand, which will be the official Energy Drink of Armageddon Clash 2020.

Speaking on behalf of the Guyana Beverages Inc., Brand Manager Raymond Gavinda stated that the company is aware of the importance of supporting cultural values within Guyana and providing a platform for local talents to grow and develop.
He noted that ‘Armageddon’ provides the perfect platform for this to happen, and to further the growth of the brand among the audience.

Other businesses that have committed to sponsoring the event thus far are: 6Vibes, Coles Screen Printing; and Maad 97.5 FM.

Tickets for the Clash will go on sale soon, and patrons will be able to cash in on the early-bird tickets at $1,500, where, if you buy two you will get one free (while stocks last).
