Two men found dead in Canje

The bodies of two alleged alcoholics were found separately in East Canje , Berbice, yesterday morning , and their remains are currently at Arokium’s  Funeral home. Forty-seven-year old  Abdul Satar Rasheed , of 9 Adelphi Settlement, was  seen lying motionless, in his yard, shortly after 06:30 hrs.
According to reports, the unemployed man, was also an epileptic. Relatives who discovered him opined that  he may have had a seizure , whilst under the influence of alcohol, resulting in his becoming unconscious prior to his demise.
Hours later, ranks assigned to Reliance Police Station , acting on a report, went to  Work Shop Street, Canefield , where the body of Parmanand Nauth, 44 years ,who was also unemployed, was found

Police said Nauth, of  92 East Canefield, Canje,lived alone and was last seen alive at 10:45hrs when he visited a friend and requested to use a latrine  at the back of the yard.
Five  minutes later , leaving the yard , he was seen staggering and he collapsed.
The police were summoned  and Nauth was taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival  
Post mortems will be performed on the bodies shortly.
