THE UC Rusal headquarters-appointed committee arrived in country last week and began their investigation of the allegations by the Guyana Trades Union Congress (GTUC). A release from the company said that the team has completed the first stage of this process, including interviews, obtaining statements and meetings, and is currently reviewing this data to prepare a report for the attention of International Alumina Division of UC Rusal.
On completion of this report and deliberations by the division’s management, the company will issue a statement on the matter.
The General Manager Ruslan Volokhov will remain off-site during the period of investigation.
