As per the release, the awardees and attendees also received sound advice from the company’s CEO, Mr. Clement Ooi, who reminded that learning is a lifelong process. “The day we stop learning is the day we stop growing ourselves,” he declared, emphasising the need to learn, unlearn and relearn as we progress throughout the journey of life.
He also remarked on the brilliance of the concept of ‘Education Month’, because it is reminiscent of the importance of education in moulding our future leaders, and for nation building as a whole.
In closing his address, Mr. Ooi highlighted the three important factors that separate winners from losers: the ‘desire’ to excel; the ‘decision’ to make the change; and ‘doing’ what is necessary.
The company also presented a quantity of books and a book shelf to Ms. Patricia Arjune, Headmistress of the neighbouring Supply Primary School, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the company on behalf of her school, and expressed her interest in continuing the partnership with the company.
