BIBI Fareena Joseph, also known as Christine, a 33-year-old housewife from Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo (EBE), was arrested on July 7, 2024, and charged on Thursday with the attempted murder of her nine-year-old daughter.

Joseph appeared virtually before the Leonora Magistrate’s Court, where Magistrate Faith Mc Gusty read the indictable charge to her.

As per the court proceedings, Joseph was not required to enter a plea, and was subsequently remanded to prison. The case has been postponed to August 2, 2024, for report.
