DC Ballers remain unbeaten after winning second game on Friday night

DC Ballers remained unbeaten after winning their second game Friday night against Top Shoots with a 4-0 triumph to lead Group A’s points standing with six, similar with Pro Ballers who also have six points from two wins, when the One Guyana Kings and Queens Sand Football continued at the PPP/C Linden office compound, where some 40 teams are contesting for the men’s tournament top prize of $1M.

In the night cap DC Ballers were led to their win through a brace from Nicholas Gentle, who blasted in his goals after they were given the lead in the first half from a strike by Jashawn Moore and Kwesi Quintin one each for the winners, before the double by Gentle.

Earlier that evening Shane Luckie netted the lone goal in the first half in his team’s 1-0 victory against Ahassa Ballers, while Team Mineral scored a 2-1 win over 8 Side. A double Quailon Andries was enough to push Minerals past 8 Side who got their lone goal from Darnell Profitt. Day One had to settle for a 2-2 draw against MS Ballers when they clashed.

The scorers for Day One were Samuel Peters and Osapho Ross while for MS Ballers, their goals were knocked in by a defense error and Demell Warner.
YMCA and Golden Stars were unable to trouble the score sheet as their encounter ended in a goalless stalemate.

The first two games were not played as first Presidential won as Bad Boys 2 did not show while the second game scheduled also ended as High Flyers soared to a walkover win when Young Ballers did not take the field.
This men’s competition continued last night (Saturday) and will resume next Thursday at the tournament venue, in Mackenzie, Linden.
