MATCHES in the Milo Schools U18 football tournament will continue this afternoon at the Ministry of Education ground Carifesta Avenue.
Sunday’s matches were shifted on account of the inclement weather with two matches on today and two more on tomorrow.
In the first of the double-header from 17:00 hours, Ann’s Grove will play Uitvlught in an East vs West battle while at 18:30 hours, North Ruimveldt battle their East Ruimveldt counterparts.
Tomorrow, Golden Grove Secondary will play Buxton Secondary from 17:00 hours while Saturday’s winners Dolphin Secondary and Charlestown will clash from 18:30 hours.
The tournament, which was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic normally takes a round robin phase; however, for this year only, the competition will feature a straight knockout format.
$300,000 will be awarded to the tournament’s winner which will go towards a school project. Second to fourth place will be awarded $200,000, $100,000 and $75,000 respectively, along with individual prizes for top performers.
