NO foul play is suspected in the death of 93-year-old Carlton King, whose lifeless body was found in the doorway of his Lot 845 Third Field, Cummings Lodge, East Coast Demerara home, police said on Friday.
According to a police release, King lived alone in an unfinished one-flat concrete structure at the aforementioned address. Regional Commander Simon McBean, said that King’s body was discovered around 16:10hrs on Thursday, June 2.
According to a neighbour, King was lying motionless in front of his door which was partially opened.
Police examined the “slightly” decomposed body but found no marks of violence on the exposed parts.
The body was escorted to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home to await a post-mortem examination.
