THE Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) will hold its final practice match this morning before a 16-member team is named.
The players are preparing for the upcoming Guyana Cricket Board U-15 tournament.
Twenty-seven players have been short-listed for today’s clash, which will be played at the Area H ground in Rose Hall Town.
According to information from the board, the players are asked to be at the venue at 8:30hrs and are reminded to walk with drinking water, face masks and hand sanitisers.
The players include Romario Ramdehol, Sohail Mohammed, Adrian Hetmyer, Razam Koobeer, Enrique Mickle, Dave Pretipaul, Vishaul Williams, Navin Bodwah, Nicholas Hall, Arif Khan, Shamul Daniels, Roshawn Crandon, Yoganand Mohan, Shoaib Gaffoor, Thierry Henry, Akash Sooklall, Jayden Edwards, Gilbert Griffith, Farhan Balle, Aden Semple, Chamesh Seenauth, Devindra Samaroo, Matthew Pereira, Devin Lallbehari, Reshan Sakrullia and Gavin Kisten.
RAMDEHOL’S DOMINANCE
Meanwhile, Rose Hall Canje Arborsmart’s U-15 captain Ramdehol carved out an impressive half-century on Saturday last, in the third practice match, to lead Rohan Kanhai XI to a 47-run victory over Trim XI.
Rohan Kanhai XI batted first and made 193-6 in their 50 overs.
Ramdehol made 11 boundaries in a top-score of 80. A few other batsmen had starts, but none of them passed 20.
Pereira finished with 2-23.
In reply, John Trim XI reached 146 before they were bowled out in 39.5 overs.
Gaffoor and Henry made 20 runs each, while A. James finished with 19.
Mohan led the attack for the winners with 3-22, while Crandon added 2-19.
