A VENEZUELAN man identified only as “Dorian,” was killed after an unknown assailant shot him several times at Return, Baramita, North West District (NWD) on Thursday.

Police Headquarters noted that about 19:55hrs, residents of Return, Baramita, heard several loud explosions suspected to be gunshots and simultaneously heard the sound of someone screaming, which caused a report to be made at the Baramita Police Station via cellphone.

Ranks visited the area and observed that the deceased was lying motionlessly, face up with several suspected gunshot wounds to the face, chest and back and he was unresponsive.

He was rushed to the Baramita Health Centre where he was pronounced dead on arrival by the medex.
His body was placed on ice and was escorted to Port Kaituma for autopsy as an investigation continues.
