FORMER Pro-Chancellor of the University of Guyana, Professor Prem Misir recently presented three of his recent books to President Dr. Irfaan Ali, and Vice-President Bharrat Jagdeo.

The books presented to the President and Vice-President are, ‘HIV/AIDS and Adolescents: South Pacific and Caribbean’; ‘The Subaltern Indian Woman: Domination and Social Degradation’ and ‘HIV & AIDS: Knowledge and Stigma in Guyana’.

These books were published by Palgrave Macmillan and the University of the West Indies Press.
Another of his publications, titled ‘COVID-19 and Health System Segregation in the US’ will be published by Springer in December 2021.
