… Trinidadian Ramdin returns home to TKR

IN what could be deemed a huge trade, Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) yesterday announced that based on a request from DJ Bravo, they have agreed to send him to St Kitts & Nevis Patriots (SKNP). The move also sees veteran wicketkeeper/batsman Denesh Ramdin return to his home team franchise TKR. Bravo in a statement sent by HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) said, “At this stage in my career, I needed a new challenge, which is to work with the young talent for the benefit of Cricket West Indies (CWI)”. He continued, “Also becoming part of a new franchise SKNP will provide me with a new challenge in CPL. I want to thank TKR for respecting my wishes and for all their support over the years. I also appreciate everything they have done for Trinidad & Tobago in general”.
Venky Mysore, Director of the TKR franchise said, “DJ Bravo has been instrumental in not only building TKR into a champion team but also captained the team which earned three championships in 2015, 2017 & 2018. We are sad to see him leave but we respect his wishes & his desire to help Caribbean cricket”.
“We are delighted that someone of the calibre of Kieron Pollard is leading TKR and also happy to announce Sunil Narine as the vice-captain of TKR. We welcome back Denesh Ramdin to the TKR family & look forward to the 2021 season and defending our title.” Mysore ended.
