DIRECTOR of a prominent city private school, James Bovell, is currently on trial at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court for sexually assaulting a female ex-employee.
Bovell is before Principal Magistrate Faith McGusty for the offence which reads that during the month of February 2020, at the school located in Georgetown, he sexually assaulted the woman.
He is currently out on bail and his trial is adjourned until April 20, 2021.
According to reports, the victim worked for Bovell, who would often compliment her about her makeup and beauty. The victim alleged that Bovell would often ask her if she was a confidential person, and she would say no each time.
He reportedly kissed her on the check in January 2020 and slapped her buttocks on February 8, 2020.
The victim reported the matter to the police and Bovell was later arrested. She was subsequently laid off from her job.
