Dead: Christopher Findlay

A MAN was found dead after an argument and scuffle at his Agriculture Road, Triumph, East Coast Demerara (ECD) house, on Friday, and the suspect was subsequently arrested. Dead is Christopher Findlay, 50, called “Andy” of Lot 25 Agriculture Road, Triumph, ECD. He suffered chop wounds to the head and other parts of his body. Police who visited the scene found the suspected murder weapon in the yard. Reports indicated that Findlay, who lives alone at the lower flat of a two-storey wooden and concrete structure was last seen alive Friday morning by his neighbor, after he had an argument at his home with his friend known as “Flushing” over some stolen articles.  At midday, the neighbour decided to call on Findlay but received no response and, upon checking his premises, the neighbour discovered him lying motionless on a bed. The police was contacted and the suspect was arrested. The suspect was identified as a 29-year-old of Kadoo Street, Triumph Village, ECD. The dead man is the brother of former Permanent Secretary and Pastor, Patrick Findlay.
