MOHINDER Persaud, a front-end loader operator attached to Caricom Rice Mill Limited at Anna Regina in Region Two, was recently charged for allegedly stealing fuel from his employer.

He made his first appearance before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Charity Magistrate’s Court. It is alleged that Persaud stole fuel from his employer and resold it to another employee within the said company. He sold some $1,000,000 worth in fuel to his colleague.

The operator pleaded not guilty to the charge and was placed on $150,000 bail. He will make another court appearance on September, 16, 2020.
