WITH the 2020 HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL) just days away, Carib Beer Guyana bowled off their ‘PLAY AT HOME’ promotion for fans, who can now enjoy ‘summer’s biggest party’ from the comfort of their homes.

The official launch to the promotion was hosted at the TWEE Duty Free Guyana Ltd Shop, located at Giftland Mall yesterday afternoon. Carib Beer Guyana Brand Manager Ravi Ganace and Carib representative Damien Lewis during the brief presser said the idea was engineered off the recent social-distancing rules which have now forced everyone including the players into somewhat of a bubble.

Given that fans will not be permitted this season, with matches being confined to two venues in Trinidad & Tobago throughout the spread of the competition, organisers of the local promotion said that it was important to keep fans heavily engaged from the comfort of their homes.

Ganace noted that the promotion which officially got underway yesterday will see fans being eligible to win prizes based on their purchases of Carib. Fans can purchase a 6-pack of Carib beer or 2 buckets of Carib and receive a large tin of Pringles free, at all supermarkets countywide.
The grand prize, however, is the 2 weekly winners who will stand a chance at winning the mega-prize of a full CPL VIP party at home for hhimself/herself and three friends.

According to the Brand Manager, upon purchases of Carib, fans will receive a coupon.
Winners will have their very own CPL private party at home with food and a Carib cooler stocked with drinks,
Carib Beer branded merchandise like hats, flash drives, t-shirts and many more pieces are all part of the package; which, according to the organisers, will surely bring the excitement straight to fans’ living room.

The effects of COVID-19 have disturbed plans for sports this year but both Lewis and Ganace were adamant that with Carib Beer making a huge comeback locally, much can be expected through this promotion with regard to making fans comfortable at home this season, the most productive and interactive that it has ever been.
Furthermore, Ganace believed that the move will help to keep Guyanese involved in the CPL while not being able to attend the matches. He also called out for fans to ensure that they continue abiding by social-distancing rules and guidelines, despite having to enjoy this season of Hero CPL from a virtual place.
