WITH Round 8 posing a must-win situation, defending champs Guyana Jaguars have named their Windies trio in Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd and Keemo Paul in their squad for today’s Day/Night encounter at Providence.
After playing without most of their marquee stars, the return of the Windies Big 3 will further buff the second-place champs’ chances over the next four days against the table-leaders Pride.
Wicketkeeper/batsman Tevin Imlach had a tough outing in the last match scoring 2 and 0, batting in place of the injured Chandrapaul Hemraj and could now make way for Hetmyer.
Meanwhile, the pair of pacers, Keon Joseph and Niall Smith, will have their spots taken by Paul and Shepherd; who could provide fresher seam-bowling options for Guyana, which will aid in their quest to secure as many fast-bowling points as possible.
The Pride have also beefed up their squad, adding their Windies trio of players in Kemar Roach, Jason Holder and Jonathan Carter for today’s clash, which gets underway from 14:00hrs.
