According to reports, Forde of ‘B’ Field Sophia, Georgetown, was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre in a subconscious state but died while receiving treatment on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.

It is alleged that Forde, on February 10, 2020, at about 19:30 hours, while armed with a cutlass, attempted to rob Candacy, who operated a shop at Silver Hill.

The woman raised an alarm and Forde allegedly tried to chop at her shop grill and also damaged her flat screen television.

At that time the woman’s husband and Mingo rushed to the woman’s aid.

The residents managed to unarm Forde and dealt him several lashes about his body.  They allegedly tied pieces of wood to his body and then placed him inside of a tyre.

The police was summoned and Forde was handed over. He was then taken to the Hospital, where he died.

Forde was discharged from the force in November 2017 after being absent from his duties.
