DIRECTOR, Department of Energy, Dr. Mark Bynoe, on Tuesday, held talks with a ministerial delegation and representatives of the private sector of Curaçao to discuss the objectives of the department and its plans for Guyana’s petroleum sector.
The delegation included Minister of Economic Development, Honourable Giselle McWillliams; Director, Division of Foreign Economic Cooperation, Ms. Vanessa Tore; Senior Policy Adviser – Division of Foreign Economic Cooperation, Mr. Said Hensen; Export Development Consultant (MEO), Mr. Sam Kruiner and the Minister’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Farid Polonius.

Representatives from 10 companies, including Diverse Products Distributors Incorporated, Curoil N.V; Curaçao in Business and seven others also attended the meeting. The meeting included discussions the expected growth of Guyana’s economy after oil production, the Department’s role in fostering investments, diversification plans, and other topics.
Petroleum Engineer, Mr. Nicholas Chuck-a-Sang, Petroleum Geologist, Ms. Marissa Foster and Legal Officer, Mr. Kevin Morgan, all of the Department of Energy, also attended the meeting.
