A 55-year-old resident of La Belle Alliance, Region Two, lost his life on the Coffee Grove Public Road on Tuesday.
Dead is Raymond Cassal. He was visiting a friend when he got into the accident. A post-mortem examination conducted by Dr. Nehaul Singh revealed Cassal died from multiple injuries.

According to information reaching Guyana Chronicle, the lifeless body of the man was discovered by a resident almost two hours after the accident. Cassal, a labourer, usually spent most of his time with a friend in Coffee Grove.

According to wife of the deceased, Evelyn John, the police came to their home at Lima Sands and informed them about the incident.

Meanwhile, police in ‘G’ Division are currently searching for the driver of a black pickup. The pickup was heading south along the public road and was caught on a resident’s surveillance camera. The driver has not yet been identified but relatives of the deceased are calling for justice in the matter.

Cassal was the only breadwinner for his family.
