THE saying `it never rains until it pours’ can aptly describe the tragic circumstances facing the Eastman family of Norton Street, Wortmanville, who are now mourning two deaths in the family.

The Guyana Chronicle has learnt that the matriarch of the Eastman family, Iris Eastman, passed away yesterday morning, November 26, 2019, at age 99. The said evening, her grandson, Senior Superintendent of Police Brian Eastman, 35, succumbed to injuries when the vehicle in which he and his close friend Dillon De Ramos, 37, were travelling, crashed into the concrete fence of Yokohoma Trading at Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara
De Ramos was the owner of the popular Kosmos Bar and Grill located at MovieTowne, Liliendaal Public Road.
