THE search for a 53-year-old boat captain has intensified, as it is now five days since he went missing while on a fishing trip in the vicinity of the Demerara River, behind the Pegasus Hotel.
David Mohan called “Ice box” was last seen on Thursday, October 31, 2019, after he fell overboard from his vessel, into the river during high tide.
According to reports reaching the Guyana Chronicle, at the time Mohan was on his vessel with a crew member and his son on a fishing trip. It is alleged that Mohan had complained about feeling unwell because of his pressure.
It is alleged that Mohan’s son tried to grab him before he fell, but failed. Mohan fell out of his boat and the crew members became worried after he did not surface.
Relatives launched a search to find Mohan but they have come up empty-handed. The relatives are hoping that he was rescued and are praying for his safe return.
