A HOUSE at Spring Garden/Good Hope, Region Two went up in flames on Friday evening, after the occupants left for West Coast Demerara, to attend the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha motorcade, at the Ocean View Mandir.

Residents who gathered at the scene told Guyana Chronicle that the family, on Friday, boarded a ferry to join the floats at Parika. On seeing the fire, they quickly alerted the Anna Regina Fire Station as they try to put out the blaze.

“Everything went up in flames; it looking like something was left on,” a resident said as firefighters battled the blaze.

Silochanie Singh, who is the owner of the house, said residents informed her about the fire and she was heading home from the motorcade. She lived in the house with her three children.
