MAGISTRATE Sherdel Marcus-Isaacs on Friday, September 27, 2019, remanded a man who allegedly raped a 14-year-old boy.

Wazeer Potter of Garden of Eden appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plead to the charge.

Particulars of the charge stated that, on August 8, 2018, at Garden of Eden, Potter engaged in sexual penetration with a child under the age of sixteen.

Reports stated that, on the day in question, the young boy was playing in the yard when Potter snatched him and took him to a house where he committed the act.
The child made a complaint to his grandmother about what Potter had done to him. The matter was reported and Potter went into hiding.

Recently, Potter was caught, arrested and charged for the offense.
Magistrate Marcus-Isaacs remanded Potter to prison and adjourned the matter until October 1, 2019.
