CHIEF Magistrate Ann McLennan on Monday, September 23, 2019, released a 35-year-old fruit vendor on $100,000 bail for sexual assaulting a girl, who is under the age of consent.
Devon Mohammed appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court and was not required to plead to the charge which was read in-camera.
Particulars of the charge alleged that, between August 1, 2017, and August 31, 2017, at Werk-en-Rust, he engaged in sexual activity with a child who was under the age of 16.

Mohammed was released on $100,000 bail with the condition that he keeps away from the victim. The matter was transferred to Principal Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus for October 14, 2019.
