SHERWIN Hamilton appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Providence Magistrate’s Court on Monday on four charges, ranging from two counts of assault to threatening language and disorderly behaviour.
It is alleged that on March 7, 2019, Hamilton used threatening language, behaved disorderly at a police station and assaulted Sharon Edward at Old Road, Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara.
The 45-year-old, who hails from Sarah Johanna, East Bank Demerara, was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 each on the assault charges; $20,000 for the threatening language charge and $10,000 for behaving in a disorderly manner at a police station.
When Magistrate Latchman read the charges to the defendant, he expressed his disapproval in a very disorderly manner as he maintained his innocence. Hamilton is expected to return to Court on March 18, 2019.
