AS the Windies Women prepare for their tour of Pakistan later this month, Cricket West Indies (CWI) said they have confirmed the dates for the ODI leg of the tour but are still working out details for the T20 matches.

CWI CEO Johnny Grave revealed on Wednesday that everything was almost in place for the tour to go ahead as planned.
“The three ODIs are confirmed and are being played in the UAE,” he told SportsMax.tv, adding that the matches will be played on February 7, 9 and 11 in Dubai.

“We are meeting the players and WIPA next week to discuss the PCB’s proposal to play three T20Is in Karachi. Eastern Star International will present the security plan and give their assessment then,” he said.

Pakistan sources said that a tentative plan from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has Windies Women arriving in Pakistan on January 26 with the first T20 to be played on January 31. The second match would be played on February 1 and the third on February 3.All three matches would be played at the South End Club Ground in Karachi.

Sportsmax.TV had reported in December 2018 that Windies Women would be touring Pakistan and United Arab Emirates to play three ODIs and three T20 internationals between late January and early February 2019.

However, Director of Cricket Jimmy Adams said at the time that logistics were still being finalised before the tour could go ahead.
Windies Women are currently engaged in a two-week camp in Antigua.
