…after vehicle found laden with ganja

THE police are currently on the hunt for the driver of a motor car, which on Saturday evening was intercepted along the Number Six Public Road on the West Coast of Berbice, with over 47 pounds of compressed cannabis.

According to the police, the driver of a 212 motor car abandoned his vehicle after he allegedly crashed into the rear of another vehicle which resulted in extensive damage to both.

A search of the vehicle revealed several parcels of compressed cannabis which weighed in excess of 21,770 grams. Both the vehicle and cannabis are lodged as an investigation is ongoing.
