PARUIMA successfully defended its Female Football title at the Indigenous Heritage Games after a penalty shootout win against Region 9’s Gladiators FC at the Everest Cricket ground yesterday.

The game ended 3-3 after extra time failed to break the deadlock and went to a penalty shootout which was won by Paruima who capitalised on misses from two of Gladiators’ penalty takers.

The win meant they successfully defended their title which they won last year. Full results of the Heritage games will be published in a subsequent report.
