A MOCHA, East Bank Demerara man reportedly died Tuesday at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) while receiving treatment.

According to the police, Stonie Henry, 47, was being held at the East Ruimveldt Police Station lock-ups on suspicion of rape, and was to have appeared in court that very morning when, around 06:15hrs, he complained to ranks on duty of feeling unwell.

He had also begun vomiting, so he was taken to the GPHC where he succumbed less than two hours later.

The charge against Henry was that on July 24, 2017, at Mocha, he unlawfully engaged in sexual activity with a teen.

The body of the deceased is presently at the GPHC Mortuary awaiting a post-mortem.
