A PATRON who was behaving badly in the wee hours of Monday morning at Tropical Refreshment Bar, Five Corners Mackenzie Linden, was shot in his palm by the business’ proprietor.
The businessman was detained and his firearm lodged with police.
Reports indicate that the 33-year-old mason of Mackenzie, Linden was imbibing at the bar when he started to behave in a disorderly manner and began throwing down chairs and other items in the bar.
Shortly after, the businessman arrived on the scene and during a confrontation; the irate businessman pulled out his licensed firearm and fired several shots in the mason’s direction. One of the bullets entered and exited the victim’s hand.
The mason then made his way to the Linden Hospital Complex and the police were summoned.
The man was admitted as a patient for observation since he was intoxicated. The victim then discharged himself from the hospital and returned to the business place and again, began to behave disorderly. He was then taken into police custody and is assisting with investigations.
