A 23-YEAR-OLD Timehri, East Bank Demerara (EBD) resident was on Friday afternoon sentenced to one year in jail on a break and enter charge by acting chief magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus.
Khemraj Ramgobin admitted that on May 29 at Wismar, Linden, he broke and entered the home of Anthony Lieu-ken-pen.
According to reports, on the day in question the man while armed with a cutlass broke down the door to the home of Lieu-ken-pen.
However, two of the Lieu-ken-pen children were home and they raised an alarm resulting in Ramgobin’s arrest.
The unrepresented man told the court “I was really hungry and I was calling really long…but I didn’t get to go inside far.”
