Female prisoner escapes from Timehri lock-ups

A FEMALE prisoner escaped Monday night from the Timehri Police Station lock-ups after being transferred from the East La Penitence Police Station to be charged for narcotics possession.

Reports indicate that the female prisoner escaped right under the nose of the station sergeant and a deputy superintendent who were in command. The woman, who was arrested for narcotics possession at Timehri, is being sought as investigations continue. Police sources were reluctant to give any information on the escape.
