COMMANDER of ‘C’ Division, Edmond Cooper, and other ranks on Wednesday assisted Corporal Adele Frank-Angoy and her husband, Devon Angoy, who were victims of a fire that gutted their Section ‘C’ Enterprise, East Coast Demerara home on Monday.

They donated a number of items, including cash, groceries and toiletry supplies at a simple handing-over ceremony at the Cove and John Police Station.
They couple’s two-storey concrete house was destroyed by a fire of unknown origin. Nothing was saved as no one was at home at the time of the fire.

“Losing your home and personal belongings to a fire is already a devastating experience; we saw a need to assist our colleague and we did that,” the commander said.
