A 20-year-old serving member of the Guyana Police Force was on Friday charged and released on $150,000 bail for allegedly raping his 19-year-old colleague.

Constable Dillon Crandon was not required to plead to the charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
Particulars of the charge stated that on February 10, 2018, at John’s Hotel, Werk-en-Rust, he engaged in sexual penetration of the female without her consent.
The matter was transferred to city Magistrate Leron Daly for report.
