A 43-YEAR-OLD man was on Tuesday remanded to prison by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan for allegedly having ammunition at his Middle Road, Le Penitence home.
However, Shawn Appru denied that on January 22, he had three live rounds of .38 ammunition at his house. His attorney Mark Conway told the court that the ammunition was not found in his client’s home.
Police Prosecutor Stephen Telford in objecting to bail, told the court that Appru took the ranks to where the ammo was found in his apartment.
The Magistrate ruled in the prosecution’s favour and remanded the accused to prison until February 7.
