Prison clothing to replace stolen outfits

A 19-year-old Venezuelan was on Wednesday sentenced to 18 months jail for breaking into a man’s home in Port Kaituma and stealing almost $90,000 worth of clothing

Mark Sampson confessed that between December 23, 2017 and December 31, 2017 at 3 Basin, Pork Kaituma, he broke and entered the home of Edward Cox and stole 10 pants, 16 jerseys, 4 shirts, 10 boxers and other items totaling $88,000.
According to reports, on December 23, 2017, Cox secured his home and went away to Big Creek Backdam, Port Kaituma, and upon his return on December 31, all of his clothing were missing. A report was made to the police station and based upon investigation, Sampson was arrested and confessed to breaking into the house.
Magistrate Latchman sentenced Sampson to 18 months’ jail.
