–wife, children homeless

A Crabwood Creek , Corentyne man who inflicted a beating on his wife and later set fire to his family’s home on New Year’s Day , is being sought by the police .

Reports are that the 31 year-old  man , Shazam Silvanesh and his 27 year-old wife had an argument on New Year’s Day and in the process , he hit the woman about her body.

He then threatened to burn their home at Grant 1802, Crabwood Creek. The enraged man later set the house alight , leaving his wife and three young children homeless. He has since gone into hiding.

Relatives later came to the aid of the woman and her children as the police investigate the matter.
