MINISTER within the Ministry of Public Health Dr. Karen Cummings presented a quantity of toys to the Acting Regional Executive Officer of Region One Reneta Williams for the children of Moruca, as she continues to spread cheer during this festive season.

During the simple handing-over ceremony, Minister Cummings expressed her delight at being able to bring smiles to the faces of some of the children of Moruca.
“This is a season for giving and it pleases me greatly to be able to provide some amount of cheer to some of the children of Moruca. I hope that as they celebrate and enjoy this season of goodwill, that they will move into 2018 as happy, healthy children,” Minister Cummings said.

Minister Cummings also donated a wheelchair which is to be used by a seven-year-old child of the community. On receipt of the gifts from Minister Cummings, Williams expressed gratitude and thanks on behalf of the children.

The Ministry of Public Health has pledged to continue serving the people of Guyana through delivery of the finest quality of public health care available. It also used the opportunity to express best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2018.
