IT’S the weekend before Halloween, and while Halloween is not a Guyanese festival, over the years it’s been gaining a lot of traction.
And now, Guyanese party goers look forward to the scare-filled parties every year! This year, the parties are going to be as plentiful and as varied as they are going to be scary!
We’ll also be seeing the rise of our regular Caribbean culture being entwined in the mix! There’s a j’ouvert party, there’s going to be Game of Thrones themes, Walking Dead, and even a little carnival!
And when it’s not scary, it’s going to be sexy! But of course, Hallaween isn’t the only thing that November is known for, and the breast cancer awareness activities also continue with Massy Stores organising a walk for this Sunday.
Also on this Sunday will be Digicel’s annual Duck Curry Competition at 63 Beach, way up on the Corentyne.
