Nagamootoo attends centenary anniversary in TT

PRIME Minister Moses Nagamootoo joined Trinidad and Tobago (TT) Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley in observance of the 100th anniversary of the abolition of Indian Indentureship in Trinidad and Tobago.

The event was recently held at the National Cultural Centre in Chaguanas, Trinidad.

The prime minister was among several speakers at the opening ceremony and during his remarks, he iterated the multi-ethnic, multi-cultural mix of the Caribbean and noted outstanding contributions of East Indians and their descendants to nationhood and all round development.

A statement from his office on Sunday said he was accompanied by High Commissioner, Bishwaishwar Ramsaroop-Maraj.
