VETERAN trade unionist Kenneth Joseph, 65, was laid to rest on Saturday at the Plaisance Cemetery, East Coast of Demerara (ECD). The body was taken firstly to the office of the National Association of Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Employees (NAACIE) trade union at High Street, Kingston, for viewing before proceeding to the Plaisance Cemetery.
At NAACIE, many trade unionists adorned in their red and black attended the final viewing of Joseph which lasted from 11:10 to 11:40 hours, to pay their respects to the veteran and offer their condolences to his grieving family.
Joseph, a former General Secretary of NAACIE and executive member of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Guyana, died on February 23, after suffering a stroke attack on February 1.
