CALVIN Peters scored a hat- trick in Master’s Academy 8-1 rout of St Roses High during day five of the Petra organised Ministry of Public Health/Milo Under-18 schools football tournament.
Played at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue, Peters (11th, 44th and 62nd) minute strikes were instrumental in demoralising the St Roses side who only had Joel Morrison (22nd) on target.
Andel Smith (37th and 64th), Derwyn George (28th), Randy Smart (51st) and Kareem Caines (59th) all got in on the scoring action for Master’s as they continued their form in the tournament.
In game two, The Bishops’ High School was able to scrape past Ann’s Grove in a come-from-behind 2-1 win.
Shemar McPherson’s 12th minute strike was cancelled out by Tyrone Singh (54th),with Tyrese Souvenir putting the Carmichael Street institution ahead in the 60th minute.
In game three, Buxton Youth Developers raided North Ruimveldt 5-0 thanks to a brace from Kifumbo Goodman (15th and 19th); single strikes from Hamar Beckles (2nd) and Teffrel Campbell (16th) and an own-goal in the 61st.
Matches continue today at the same venue with Kingston playing St Mary’s in game one while Tucville take on Charlestown in game two.
After the break, Lodge Secondary tackles East Ruimveldt while Morgan Learning Centre will entertain the challenge of St. John’s College.
