LABA/ Hamid Foundation U-23 basketball continues tonight with double-header

THE Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) /Abdulla Hamid under 23 basketball championship which bounced off last night will continue tonight at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard court where,in the opening game,Kwakwani will debut against second seeded Victory Valley Royals at 18.30 hrs ,in what should be an interesting match since Kwakwani is one of the unknown quantities in this tournament.

In the second game at 20.30 hrs,Retrieve Raiders, seeded at number four, will start their campaign when they face unknown Christianburg Pistons, another team which is making its debut at this level, after some years in the wilderness not playing competitively,and previously known as the Wismar Pistons.
Next Friday the Half Mile Bulls,ranked number one,will face the Pistons,while the other match is between the Pistons and Jets.

The teams are placed in two groups with the Bulls, Raiders Flames and Pistons making up group A, while in Group B are Royals, Jets, Falcons and Kwakwani.The top two teams from the two groups will advance to the semifinals to determine the finalists.
Trophies and replicas are at stake for the top four clubs.
