Star Party Rentals joins the fold

THIS year’s Limacol-sponsored round-robin knock-out football tournament continues to gain support from local enterprises, with Star Party Rentals signing-on to the tournament which begins tomorrow.
Now in its second year and the brainchild of the Petra organisation, the tournament will feature sixteen teams from different areas competing for top honours and over two million dollars in cash and other prizes.

Speaking during yesterday afternoon’s brief ceremony, Michelle Henry, representative of Star Party Rentals said “We are pleased once again to partner with Petra to host the event. We have over the years constantly supported Petra in football by providing our unique service which ensures that the organising is successful”.

“We would like to thank Petra for the opportunity to continue our social responsibility. The owner of Star Party Rentals who has been a part of sports is pleased to be associated with the tournament,” she added.
Meanwhile,Mark Alleyne, Petra Representative said “We at Petra are happy for the support of the event and we recognize that this company has supported us over the years. Without the support, we would not be successful.

“We want to take this opportunity to thank the company for coming onboard and we’re looking forward to a great tournament” he stated.
The tournament will be contested initially in a round-robin format, with the top two finishers progressing to the quarterfinal round.
In tomorrow’s opening round of games at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda, the Guyana Police Force will battle Mahaica Determinators at 18.00hrs,and then Riddim Squad will clash with Camptown.from 20.00hrs

The first placed team will earn $500,000 and a trophy while the second, third and fourth placed teams will receive $250,000, $125,000 and $75,000 respectively
Meanwhile, the winner of each group will receive $100,000 while the respective finishers will pocket $50,000, $30,000 and $20,000 each.
