EON Ward, also known as ‘Killer’ was remanded to the Georgetown Prison by Magistrate Clive Nurse on Tuesday following his appearance at the Linden Magistrate Court, where he was charged with the illegal possession of a gun and ammunition.
The court heard that on October 3, 2016, he possessed a 9mm Ruger semi-automatic pistol with seven matching rounds, when he is not the holder of a license. The gun and ammunition were found at his Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden home by ranks who conducted a search after being tipped off.
The unrepresented 25-year-old pleaded not guilty to the charge and is expected to return to before the court on January 28, 2017.
He is also serving a five year jail sentence for robbery under arms and unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition. Ward is described by police ranks as a serial armed robber who began his criminal career at a very young age. He served multiple jail time in the pass.
