Thirty five goals in round two
Thirty five goals were scored in the second round of the Courts/Petra Under-11 Pee-wee football competition at Thirst Park on Saturday.
In the first game, St. Stephen’s put Comenius Primary to the sword 3-1,with strikes from Omali Xavier (14th and 26th) and Jequan Cole (28th),while the fourth came through an own goal(defence error).
Four goals were again scored when South Ruimveldt routed F.E Pollard 4-0,thanks to Antonio Leitch’s back to back goals in the 1st and 2nd minutes while John Simon (7th) and Treyvon Duncan (14th),slotted in one each.
St Agnes overcame Rama Krishna by the same margin,with a brace from Nikhail Carter (13th and 22nd) and single strikes from David Xavier (1st and Antawn McKay (27th).
Stella Marris needled Redeemer 1-0 in their game,thanks to Dakari Douglas,while North Georgetown contrastingly beat out School of the Nation’s 5-0 with strikes from Shaquan Walters (11th and 24th), Nigel Lowe (17th), Aken DeSantos (21st) and Kellon King (33rd)
Malik Darker’s 22nd minute strike was enough to Give Marian Academy the win over Success elementary in game six with a 1-0 result.Tucville also secured a win against St Ambrose in game seven.
St. Angeles had no trouble over-coming St. Gabriel’s as they won 2-0,with Antwoine Vincent and Seon Cato finding the back of the nets;while Enterprise could not hold off St Margaret’s,losing 2-3.
Margaret’s had Mickelle Andrews (1st and 28th) as part of their score sheet with Joshua Abel scoring the third in the 29th,while Enterprise scored through Shamar Richardson and an own goal.
West Ruimveldt spared no shots when they beat J.E. Burnham 4-0 with Tyrese John, Jermaine Park, Tafrel McAllister, and Kenneth Gordon finding the back of the net.
Winfer Gardens drew with St Pius 1-1 with the former seeing Calvin Bowling’s 9th minute strike being cancelled out four minutes later by Kaden Wellington.
Meanwhile,Maes completed the round with a 2-0 win over Smith Memorial through Joshua Bentick and an own goal.
